Starting St. Aidan’s

The following criteria will be applied in the order set down by the Board of Governors in selecting pupils for year 8 entry.

Within each criterion priority will be given to pupils, regarded by the Board of Governors, on the basis of supporting evidence by parents or statutory agencies, as having special circumstances (medical, social, security factors).

Children normally resident in Northern Ireland at the time of the proposed admission will be selected before children not resident in Northern Ireland.

Pupils who normally reside in the contributing Parishes of Knockninny, Kinawley, Killesher, not listed in any order of preference.
Pupils who attend Primary Schools in the contributing Parishes of Knockninny, Kinawley, Killesher, not listed in any order of preference. Priority will be given to children who have brother(s)/sister(s) presently enrolled in the school.
Pupils from other Parishes whose brother(s)/sister(s) are presently enrolled in the school.
Pupils whose parent(s)/guardian(s) is presently a permanent member of the school teaching/ancillary/auxiliary staff.
Pupils whose parent(s)/guardian(s) originally came from contributing Parishes.
Pupils from other Parishes.
