Religious Education is a core subject in St. Aidan’s for all years 8 to 12. The general aim of Religious Education in St. Aidan’s is to foster, within a caring Christian environment, the moral, spiritual, intellectual and personal development of each pupil through the provision of a relevant, challenging and enjoyable curriculum.

SCHOOL PRAYERS

School Prayer
Dear God,
Prayers
As we begin a new school day,
awaken our minds and help us to learn.
As we grow in knowledge,
help us to respect the needs of others.
May our words be kind and our actions true.
St. Aidan protect us.
Our Lady bless us and may our
Heavenly Father be with us in all that we do.
Amen.

A Night Prayer
God, our Father, I come to say
Thank you for your love today.
Thank you for my family
And all the friends you give to me.
Guard me in the dark of night
And in the morning send your light. Amen.

Grace before Meals
Bless us, 0 lord, as we sit together.
Bless the food we eat today.
Bless the hands that made the food.
Bless us, 0 God. Amen.

Grace after Meals
Thank you God for the food we have eaten.
Thank you God for all our friends.
Thank you God for everything.
Thank you God, God. Amen.
